Maia Manchkhashvili


Professor Maia Manchkhashvili, PhD, is a distinguished academic based in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she actively contributes to the field of Political Science. She holds a Doctor of Political Science degree from Tbilisi State University (TSU) and currently serves as an Associate Professor at multiple esteemed institutions, including Georgian Technical University, St Andrew's University of Georgia, and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.

An advocate for regional collaboration and development, Professor Manchkhashvili co-founded the Georgian Neighborhood Institute at TSU on 4 April 2021. Her commitment to enhancing higher education in Georgia is further exemplified by her appointment to the Higher Education Sector Council of Conflictology at the National Centre for Education Quality Development, which she has held since 27 May 2022.

Fluent in Georgian, English, and Turkish, Professor Manchkhashvili engages in multidisciplinary research and teaching, fostering a rich learning environment for her students.
