The veneration of individuals who have made significant contributions to cultural, political, and other spheres of life is an essential pursuit that institutions should actively embrace. Honouring those who have passed is grounded in respect and appreciation for those who have left a meaningful legacy through their personal or professional actions.
The BRAMS Institute views it as its responsibility to honour those who have made notable contributions to British, American, and Georgian studies. It is remarkable how these three cultures have become so beautifully intertwined, and we also aim to share their names and life stories with new generations.
As the 12th-century Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli wisely stated, "It will not hurt if we never forget our well-wishers" („არ-დავიწყება მოყვრისა აროდეს გვიზამს ზიანსა“). Thus, we proudly honour those closely linked to our mission, as they are the roots from which the BRAMS Institute continues to grow.
