APC & Waivers

There is no fee for submitting a manuscript.

Once a manuscript is accepted, as confirmed by a notification email from the BRAMS Journal Editorial Office, authors must pay an article processing charge (APC) to cover the costs associated with the editorial process, peer review management, typesetting, online hosting, archiving, and dissemination of the published article. As of January 2026, the one-time fee for manuscript preparation is 250.00 GEL. This fee can be paid in GEL or USD, based on the equivalent amount according to the official exchange rate at the time of transfer.

Publication fee transfers should be made using the following bank account details:

  • Beneficiary's Bank: JSC TBC Bank
  • SWIFT Code/Bank Code: TBCBGE22
  • Beneficiary's Name: BRAMS Institute
  • Beneficiary's ID Code: 405372626
  • Ben's Account for GEL Transfers: GE32TB7366036020100007
  • Ben's Account for USD Transfers: GE60TB7366036120100004

Fees can also be transferred via Wise.

Refunds for the article processing fee will not be issued if the author withdraws after the APC payment has been made. Authors may request an invoice, which will be emailed as a signed document.

As BRAMS follows the Gold Open Access business model in journal publishing, revenue is generated from author fees. The journal's operations are funded by fees paid by authors, their institutions, or funding agencies.

BRAMS implements the APC Discount Policy to promote inclusivity and support authors facing financial constraints.

Discount for Authors from Least Developed Countries (LDCs): A 35% discount on the APC is available for authors whose primary affiliation is with institutions in countries officially classified as Least Developed Countries. This discount applies only if all co-authors are affiliated with institutions located in LDCs. Authors must provide valid institutional affiliation details at the time of submission to be considered for this discount.

Discount for Students with Limited Funding: A 35% discount on the APC is offered to students who are the primary authors and have limited financial resources. This discount aims to facilitate the publication of student-led research, particularly for those without institutional funding support. To be eligible, students must submit a valid Student ID card along with an official letter from their university or institution confirming their current enrollment status. All relevant documents should be sent to bramscontributions@gmail.com at or before the time of manuscript submission or acceptance.

Discount for Active Reviewers and Editorial Board Members: In recognition of their valuable contributions to the journal’s peer review process, active reviewers and members of the editorial board are entitled to a 50% discount on the APC for any paper they author and a 35% discount for any paper they co-author.

Full Waiver of Article Processing Charges (APC): All research articles submitted and accepted are eligible for a 100% APC waiver if either the corresponding author or a co-author is ranked among the top 2% of most-cited scientists worldwide, according to the latest Stanford/Elsevier citation database or a similarly recognised index. Authors listed in any of the Stanford/Elsevier global top 2% citation rankings published since 2022 will qualify. A valid certificate or documentation confirming inclusion in the global citation rankings (e.g., from Elsevier, Stanford, or Scopus) must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission. The APC waiver will be granted after acceptance and applies only to manuscripts that successfully pass peer review and receive editorial approval. This initiative aims to recognise and support the exceptional contributions of highly cited researchers while encouraging continued excellence in scholarly publishing.

The article processing charge (APC), after any applicable discounts, must be paid prior to the formal online publication of the article. Delayed payment may result in a postponement of the publication date.
