APC & Waivers
There is no fee for submitting a manuscript.
Once a manuscript is accepted, authors will receive a notification email from the BRAMS Journal editorial office. Authors must then pay a one-time article processing charge (APC) of 250.00 GEL. The APC covers publishing expenses, including peer review, editing, proofreading, online hosting, and archiving. Payment can be made in either GEL or USD at the official exchange rate.
Payments should be sent to the publisher of the BRAMS Journal, which is the BRAMS Institute, a think tank registered in Tbilisi, Georgia. Available payment options are outlined in the Payment Details section.
For wire transfers, please ensure that you, as the sender, cover the transfer fees so that we receive the full amount. Do not select "shared" fees or choose fees to be paid by the beneficiary or recipient. If the sender does not fully cover the transfer fees, a second transfer may be necessary to complete the total amount. Extra charges may apply based on the chosen transfer method.
Payment Details
Transfers should be made to the following bank account:
- Beneficiary’s Bank: JSC TBC Bank

As BRAMS adopts the Gold Open Access model, revenue is generated from author fees, funding the journal’s operations.
APC Discount Policy
BRAMS offers discounts to promote inclusivity for authors facing financial constraints:
- Authors from Least Developed Countries (LDCs): A 35% discount on the APC is available for authors whose primary affiliation is with institutions in LDCs, applicable only if all co-authors are affiliated with LDC institutions. Authors must provide valid institutional affiliation details at the time of submission to be considered for this discount.
- Students with Limited Funding: A 35% discount is offered to primary authors who are students with limited financial resources. This discount aims to facilitate the publication of student-led research, particularly for those without institutional funding support. To qualify, students must provide a valid Student ID and an official letter from their university confirming their enrolment. All documents should be emailed to bramsjournal@gmail.com by the time of submission or acceptance.
- Active Reviewers and Editorial Board Members: Active reviewers and editorial board members receive a 50% discount on the APC for papers they author and a 35% discount for co-authored papers.
- Full Waiver of APC: Research articles may receive a full APC waiver if either the corresponding author or a co-author ranks among the top 2% of most-cited scientists, according to the latest Stanford/Elsevier citation database or a recognised index. A valid certificate confirming inclusion in the rankings must accompany the manuscript. This waiver applies solely to articles that successfully pass peer review and obtain editorial approval.
The APC, after applicable discounts, must be paid before the formal online publication of the article. Delayed payment may postpone publication.
