On 25 October 2018, the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and the Georgian Academy of Criminology.
According to the document, the sides agree to coordinate their work and participate into joint projects such as conferences, symposia, seminars, round-table talks, discussions, etc; also, they will publish scientific works in the Bulletin of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences Matsne, and the international scientific and practical journal Criminologist.

Today the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts, which exhibits the private collection of Dr George (Gia) Jokhtaberidze and Manana Shevardnadze, has officially opened. The public will have access to the new museum from 2nd October 2018.
The museum houses about 3,500 pieces of work by over 80 Georgian artists and sculptors. The oldest exhibits belong to the 1940s.
