It is the 100th anniversary of her birthday today. Eva Perón is still adored by many Argentines for helping women get the vote, securing labour benefits for the working classes, and founding hospitals and orphanages.

A photograph of Eva Perón is still frequently found next to a copy of the Our Lady Guadalupe icon in many Argentinian households.

Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute will initiate a course by Professor Vasil Kacharava, President of the Georgian Association for American Studies and Head of the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Professor Vasil Kacharava will hold his lectures twice a week. The tuition fee is 270 GEL, which covers the classes and coffee breaks (drink & cookie). Registration for this course ends on 10 May 2019.

14th April is Mother Language Day in the Republic of Georgia. Regardless of their first language, all citizens of this east European country annually celebrate the day when the nation and its government have united against the Soviet attempt to deprive the state status of Georgian – one of the oldest living languages, still in use almost unchanged since ancient times.
