In early June 2019, Professor Jeremy Ramsden visited Georgia. Despite his typically hectic schedule, our British colleague and long-time friend graciously agreed to conduct another workshop for the BRAMS Institute.
During the session, Professor Ramsden introduced several innovative concepts related to scientific freedom, encouraging participants to explore these ideas independently. To inspire the Georgian scholars and enhance their motivation, he showcased practical methods, drawing on examples from his experience as an advisory board member at the UN.
After summarising the key points, Professor Ramsden evaluated the workshop's effectiveness and processes. The participants had the opportunity to reflect deeply on each topic and acknowledge their contributions.
Following the workshop, Professor Dr Maia Nadare, the Director of the BRAMS Institute, presented Professor Ramsden with a Certificate of Gratitude and promotional souvenirs in recognition of his invaluable support for the Institute since its inception.
