Tbilisi State University Press published Vasil Kacharava’s recent research “Ronald Reagan and His Decade: America in the 1980s”. It is available in the University shop at 1 Chavchavadze Avenue, Tbilisi.

Head of the Institute of American Studies, and President of the Georgian Association for American Studies, Professor Vasil Kacharava, gives a thorough portrayal of life in the United States during the Reagan Administration, from political and economic aspects to cinematography.

After the book presentation, the audience will participate in a Qs&As session. Then the author will sign his book for his devoted fans.

Politics and Prose welcomes Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges to speak about his new book "Our Class".

The author will be joined in conversation with Boris Franklin, a graduate of Rutgers University, who was incarcerated for eleven years and who was one of the principal authors of the play Caged, written by Chris Hedges' first class at East Jersey State Prison.

The new book by Chris Hedges exposes the terrible crucible and injustice of America's penal system and the struggle by those trapped within its embrace to live lives of dignity, meaning, and purpose.
