A native New Yorker, architectural historian, and former long-time staff member of New York’s Landmarks Commission, Anthony W. Robins offers an unforgettable virtual tour of Art Deco New York through his webinar, based on his most recent book, New York Art Deco: A Guide to Gotham’s Jazz Age Architecture, which won a New York Society Library “New York City Book Award” in 2018.
The Chrysler Building, the Waldorf-Astoria, Rockefeller Center and the hundreds of other Art Deco monuments helped create the image of New York City as the world’s Modern Metropolis in the 1920s and 1930s. Art Deco expert and author, Anthony Robins was honoured with the 2017 Guiding Spirit Award from the Guides Association of New York City. Therefore, he is the best companion on tonight's tour. Simply buckle up at your computer screens as many will have a spider-man experience.
