Professor Jeremy J. Ramsden from the University of Buckingham, England, will visit the think tank in July.

The noted British scholar will conduct a five-day workshop for the Institute team, focusing on several crucial topics. He will address issues related to managing a newly established organisation and discuss strategies to avoid common challenges when fulfilling relevant tasks.

Professor Ramsden will also provide guidance on establishing a peer-reviewed academic journal.

Another American Studies Institute founded

On 18 May 2018, Professor Maia Nadare founded a new think tank, inspired by the Georgian Association for American Studies and the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, where she first got involved in American Studies in the early 2000s. Professor Vasil Kacharava, Head of the Institute of American Studies at Tbilisi State University and President of the Georgian Association for American Studies, originally proposed the initiative.
