A prolific Georgian scholar, brilliant translator, and poet, Professor Alexander Elerdashvili (b. 16-04-1956 – d. 23-05-2021) was a member of the Writers' Union of Georgia and the head of the Translation Association. He received Ivane Machabli Award and Zezva Medulashvili Award.
