Professor Khatuna Kacharava graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Journalism, and Shota Rustaveli Institute of Literature, Journalism. She is a Doctor of Social Sciences.

Associate Professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Journalism and Mass Communication. From July 2018 onwards she is a Research Fellow at BRAMS Journal.

She worked as a professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, and Griogl Robakidze University. From 2003 to 2020 she was Head of the Journalism and Mass Communication Program at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Griogl Robakidze University. She has been a coordinator at the Institute of History and Geography of Georgian Emigration at Grigol Robakidze University.

Khatuna Kacharava participated in local and international conferences:
