US Independence Day

The 4th of July is the most significant national holiday in the United States that celebrates the Declaration of Independence, adopted in 1776.

NASA astronauts Jack Fischer and Peggy Whitson celebrated the Fourth of July from over 250 miles above Earth on the International Space Station. Fischer shared this photo on social media and said: “We sometimes have issues standing up straight, but we have no problems at all showing our American pride – Happy 4th!”

Workshop: JJ Ramsden

Professor Jeremy J. Ramsden from the University of Buckingham, England, will visit the new Institute in July.

The experienced scholar will provide a 5-day workshop for the Institute team on several crucial issues. He will discuss topics such as managing a newly established organisation and avoiding typical problems when fulfilling relevant tasks.

Professor Ramsden will also consult on establishing a peer-reviewed academic journal.
