Happy Safer Inet Day!

Safer Internet Day is celebrated annually in February. The special day has been established to promote "the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people". There are thousands of centres globally that patronise the event, coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe.

More than 100 SID Committees work closely with the Safer Internet Day Coordination Team, which is based in Brussels. Every national safer Internet centre (SIC) implements awareness and educational campaigns, runs a helpline, and works with youth to create a better internet.

Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute will present a public lecture on Cinema & Politics by Kakhi Kenkadze.

The scientific researcher at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs within Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences will discuss the interaction between cinema and politics after the birth of the film industry. He shall present some vivid examples of the controversial relationship between the world’s biggest movie stars and the government’s policies.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May have had a request from Amazon to come up with photographs of wild animals in Colombia. In a 2-part special episode, they drive across Colombia in a Jeep Wrangler, a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up and a Fiat Panda 4x4, attempting to capture images of different animals for Amazon's new screensavers.
