The conspiracy of 1942 and the SAMANians

On 24 April, writer and researcher Professor Rostom Chkheidze, PhD, will host a salon meeting at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University. The event is organised by Club Iakami, an educational and cognitive club recently created. In the Gurian dialect of Georgia "iakami" means "a very bright moon".

The topic of the meeting will be "The Conspiracy of 1942 and the Unknown Story of the SAMANians." In 1941, the anti-Soviet underground organisation SAMAN was founded in Georgia. It brought together young people who wanted to fight for the prosperity of Georgia. Their goal was to overthrow the existing Soviet Russian regime in the republic through rebellion and restore Georgia's state independence. Rostom Chkheidze has told the unknown stories of the SAMANians in his book "61 Stories about SAMANians."

Before the salon meeting begins, the organisers will introduce the audience to the concept of Club Iakami.
