On 8 April 2023, the 6th (17th) Congress of the Creative Union of Journalists of Georgia was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. A member of the Union, Vice President of the Academy of Sciences, Academician Roin Metreveli opened and presided over it.

The Creative Union of Journalists co-chair, Marina Tektumanidze, presented the report on the work completed to Congress. The new charter of the Union and the board were approved.

The Congress unanimously elected George Mamatashvili, the director general of the news agency Reporter, as the chairman of the Creative Union of Journalists of Georgia. BRAMS Institute congratulates our longtime dear friend and colleague on the new appointment and wishes him all the best in fulfilling his new duties.
