The first international gastronomic festival will be held in Georgia from 26 September to 2 October 2022.
The well-known chefs recognised by Michelin, together with the best Georgian chefs, will serve the visitors. The project's goals are to offer an unforgettable, extravagant, and unique experience to the Gastro Week callers, open new perspectives for representatives of the gastronomy industry both on the local and international market, and boost gastro tourism.
On 26 September, the festival will be opened at the Amirani movie theatre with the film "Michelin Stars: Tales from the Kitchen", presented by Kristian Brask Thomsen, film producer, gastronomy expert, and industry communications guru. The fill tells stories about the grand menus of culinary temples and the importance of the Michelin guide in the golden age of gastronomy.
On 28 September, famous chefs Janaina Rueda from Brazil, João Oliviera from Portugal, and Irakli Asatiani from Georgia, executive chef of Silk Hospitality, will serve the dinner at Radisson Collection Hotel Tsinandali Estate in Tsinandali, East Georgia.
On 29 September, Chef Maurizio Zillo from Brazil and Chef Erekle Ghonghadze from Georgia will serve dinner at the Republic restaurant. Maurizio Zillo owns 1 Michelin star and currently runs one of the most famous restaurants in the world, Gagini Palermo Restaurant.
On 30 September, the festival will host a charity dinner supporting Ukraine at the Axis Towers restaurant Falestra, served by the Ukrainian chef Volodymyr Yaroslavsky and the famous Georgian chef Misha Avsajanishvili. The money from ticket sales will be transferred to the Ukrainian Misto-Sad fund.
On 1 October, Tbilisi Gastro Week will organise a presentation and degustation event in the open area, where visiting and local chefs, 16 in total, will prepare dishes for the guests.
On 2 October, the closing dinner will be held in the beautiful space of Littera. The famous Georgian chef Tekuna Gachechiladze and the Croatian chef Hrvoje Kroflin will present the dinner. The sommelier will match the dishes with exclusively selected Georgian wine.
Tbilisi Gastro Week is organised with the support of SOLO, Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, and the National Tourism Administration.
