The Georgia National Team Wins Rugby Europe Championship 2022

The Georgia national team who enter the tournament as defending champions have won the Rugby Europe Championship again. The Lelos, as they are known, claimed their 14th title as a result of tonight's final.

The 2022 Rugby Europe Championship started on 5 February and was finalised on 20 March 2022. It was the 6th Rugby Europe Championship, the annual rugby union competition contested by the national teams of Georgia, Spain, Romania, Portugal, Netherlands, and Russia. This year's edition of the Rugby Europe Championship doubles as the second year of the 2023 Rugby World Cup qualifiers for the European region.
