Another American Studies Institute founded

On 18 May 2018, Professor Maia Nadareishvili founded a new institute for American studies. The Georgian Association for American Studies and the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University inspired and encouraged Professor Nadareishvili, who was introduced to and practised American Studies at Tbilisi State University at the beginning of the 2000s. The idea comes from Professor Vasil Kacharava, Head of the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and President of the Georgian Association for American Studies.

The newly established Institute for American Studies will follow in the footsteps of the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The organisational issues will finish within the following three months during the summertime. The demo version of the Insitute's website will launch in mid-August. The new Institute will run full blast from January 2020. Meanwhile, the founder and director, Professor Maia Nadareishvili, will form the work team for the new Institute within two weeks from now, and the research work will begin on 21 May 2018, next week.
