The first biography on four-star General John Shalikashvili has been released by the University Press of Kentucky. Boy on the Bridge is a life story of a man who considered himself to be the son of two countries – the United States and Georgia – both proudly having embraced him while alive and respecting his memory in the afterlife.
Dr Andrew Marble dedicated 8 years to researching the life of one of the most outstanding Americans of modern times. The author travelled over 30,000 miles to 30 cities, 12 states, 3 countries, and 2 continents; interviewed over 300 people, from Shalikashvili and his family and childhood friends to President Bill Clinton, Gen. Colin Powell, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Secretary of Defence William Perry, and other prominent leaders from the 1990s.
"Boy on the Bridge: The Story of John Shalikashvili’s American Success" by Andrew Marble is available on Amazon. The author can be reached at andrew_marble@shalibiography.com
The book has been available less than for a week but already gained high praise from critics, militants, and readers.
