Plenary session at TSU

On 18 May 2018, the Georgian Association for American Studies and the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University inspired and encouraged Professor Dr Maia Nadareishvili, who was introduced to and practised American Studies within Tbilisi State University starting in the 2000s, to found a new Institute for American Studies. The idea comes from Professor Vasil Kacharava, Head of the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and President of the Georgian Association for American Studies.

The newly established Institute for American Studies will follow in the footsteps of the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The organisational issues will finish within the following three months during the summertime. The demo version of the Insitute's website will launch in mid-August. The new Institute will run full blast from January 2020. Meanwhile, the founder and director, Dr Maia Nadareishvili, will form the work team for the new Institute within two weeks from now, and the research work will begin in June 2018.
