Lessons of Democracy

Head of the Institute of American Studies, and President of the Georgian Association for American Studies, Professor Vasil Kacharava, discussed his new book “Lessons of Democracy: Political History of the United States of America 1877-2008”. He also gave an account of the work done by the Institute of American Studies.

The President of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Professor George Sharvashidze, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Associate Professor Mikheil Batiashvili, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy Elizabeth Rood, Georgian diplomat, writer, educator, and TV personality, Professor Gela Charkviani, and other attendees expressed their opinion about Professor Vasil Kacharava's current work and its importance for American Studies in Georgia.

The representatives of BRAMS Institute, including Professor Diana Tkebuchava, Professor Mamuka Dolidze, and Professor Maia Nadareishvili, attended the book presentation at Tbilisi State University.
