A team of seven staff members from the BRAMS Institute is engaged in an exciting publishing project. This initiative will culminate in a monograph that explores the history of Georgia and the evolution of Georgian Radio during the 1980s and 1990s.
The monograph's author, Vakhtang Nanitashvili, provides invaluable insights into the creative transformations and media reforms implemented at Georgian Radio under his guidance. He not only observed but also actively participated in these intricate processes, and his research reveals the distinctive features and historical significance of radio as a medium. Furthermore, he evaluates contemporary challenges and outlines the prospects of radio broadcasting.
The research investigates how radio programmes shape public opinion and address audience interests. This monograph holds significant value as it offers both theoretical and practical analyses of Georgian radio broadcasting, highlighting its crucial role in fostering a democratic and independent society in Georgia.
This exceptionally distinctive book stands as a remarkable contribution that enriches both Georgian Studies and the field of political media studies.
