Thus Spoke Erekle Tatishvili

The life story of Erekle Tatishvili (1884-1946) is outlined in a new book by prolific biographer Professor Rostom Chkheidze.

“Thus Spoke Erekle Tatishvili” creates vivid portraits of translator, educator and politician Erekle Tatisvhili and philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, whose famous novel Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None (published between 1883 and 1891) became the major work of Mr Tatishvili who prepared the Georgian translation along the political repression carried out by the Soviet government.

The plot skillfully entwines biographical bits of Erekle Tatishvili and Friedrich Nietzsche. The book title references similarities between the lives of a German author and a Georgian translator.
