Child Institute founded

On 20 June 2018, Professor Maia Nadareishvili founded the American and British Studies Institute at Grigol Robakidze University.

The new Institute aims to conduct theoretical and empirical research in American and British studies. The founding director also plans to launch a scientific journal.

The founding board, which included the President of Grigol Robakidze University, Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze; Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Studies, Professor Liana Koroshinadze; Head of Journalism and Mass Communication Program, Associate Professor Khatuna Kacharava; Doctor of International Journalism, Associate Professor Maia Nadareishvili, held the meeting.

President Mamuka Tavkhelidze appointed Maia Nadareishvili as Director of the new Institute. She accepted the offer with enthusiasm and suggested the institute team members. Then she discussed the goals and research areas of the Institute, underlining the prospects of the academic project. The founding board approved her initiation. On behalf of Grigol Robakidze University, President Mamuka Tavkhelidze undertook the material, financial, and intellectual support of the American and British Studies Institute.

The founding director, Professor Maia Nadareishvili, proposed to nickname this Institute Ambris to avoid any misunderstanding that might occur between the parent Institute she founded a month before she established the child institute at GRUni. The founding board approved the initiative.
