A noted scholar of literary studies and linguistics, prominent Georgian politician, Professor Nodar Natadze was a Member of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia in 1989-1991, and a Member of the Parliament of Georgia in 1992-1995. He ran for the presidential elections on 26 May 1991.
Nodar Natadze was among other privileged Georgians who signed the Act on Restoration of State Independence of Georgia at 12:30 pm on 9 April 1991, shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union.
