Memorandum of Cooperation signed

On 25 October 2018, the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and the Georgian Academy of Criminology signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

According to the document, the sides agree to coordinate their work and participate in joint projects such as conferences, symposia, seminars, round-table talks, discussions, etc. Also, they will publish scientific articles in the Bulletin of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences Matsne and the international scientific and practical journal The Criminologist.

Before signing the document, the President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Giorgi Kvesitadze, Vice-president of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Roin Metreveli, President of Georgian Academy of Criminology, and Director of the Institute of Law and Criminology, Malkhaz Badzagua, President of Sokhumi State University, Professor Zurab Khonelidze, Chairman of the Council of Representatives of Senate at Georgian Technical University, Professor Jemal Gakhokidze, made statements about the significance of criminology research for safety of Georgia as a strong, independent, and crime-free state.

The president of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Academician Giorgi Kvesitadze, and the president of the Georgian Academy of Criminology, Professor Malkhaz Badzagua, signed the memorandum. Professor Maia Nadareishvili, Founder and Director of BRAMS Institute, attended the historical event as a fellow academician of the Georgian Academy of Criminology.

The Acting Academician-Secretary of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, and corresponding member Ramaz Khurodze, Acting Academician-Secretary of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, academician Nodar Mitagvaria, Academician-Secretary of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, academician Tinatin Sadunishvili, Head of the Foreign Department of Georgian National Academy of Sciences Zina Jorbenadze, Senior specialist of the Foreign Department of Georgian National Academy of Sciences Ketevan Akhmeteli, Dean of Law Faculty at Sokhumi State University, Professor Vepkhvia Gvaramia, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Temur Pachulia, Sokhumi State Univesity Professor Gimzer Alania, Sokhumi State Univesity Professor Avtandil Khazhalia. also attended the ceremony of signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation.
